When words count, you can’t settle for less than the best.
That’s where I can help.
My name is Amy Spungen, and I’ve been editing and writing for more than 30 years. My experience ranges from editorial staff positions within nonprofit and governmental organizations to years of freelancing. I have edited nonfiction books, magazines, memoirs, novels, and entire websites. I have written and edited essays, articles, sections of books, annual reports, blog posts, poetry, and more. I have written as myself and ghostwritten for others. Throughout it all, I have been inspired by the people I work with and grateful for the opportunity to assist them in producing the most professional and effective writing possible.
It’s often hard for writers to know what sort of editing help they need. I offer a variety of editing services so that you can choose the right sort for your project and goals. Writing help also presents challenges. In both cases, the same questions are relevant: Where are you with your project? Have you finished your first draft? Have you done any revisions, or are you madly typing words onto pages in an effort to just get something down?
Whether you are plotting your novel, laying out scenes in your memoir, organizing your nonfiction research into a publishable narrative, or developing your website content, I can help.
